PROGRAMME BACKROUND
1. Opening (Prayer & Welcoming):
Opening and welcoming of guests
was made by Mr. Mophethe Khitsane, He welcomed everyone who was at the
gathering and gave Mrs. Mapuleng Khitsane also to welcome the guests as she was
the host. Mrs. Mapuleng Khitsane welcomed everyone and thanked them for
visiting her home, she said she was very happy no words could express how she
felt. A hymn was sung and Mr. Mophethe asked Mr. Ramongalo to pray for
the house.
Mr. Mophethe ask the house to
elect a committee as he was elected temporarily to act as a chairperson of the
Khitsane Family Committee, then members were voted to fill the portfolios

2. Previous conference
Previous conference was held on
the 30th of March 2013 at Ladybrand (Free
State), Mrs. Matsheliso Khitsane was the host and Mr.
Molapo was given the platform to give feedback about that day. Mr. Molapo
said the event was a success and they were very happy to be given the
opportunity to host the 2nd family conference. He reported that they
received contributions for the preparations of that event and only seventeen
(17) families contributed. Each family contributed one hundred rand and
the total amount of contributions was one thousand and seven hundred rand (R 1 700.00)
total money spend was two thousand one hundred and twenty rand (R 2 120.00) and
additions were R 420.00 and no change was left.
The house then asked that
contributions for the preparations of such event to be raised as they do not
cover all the needs for the event, and it was agreed that it will then be two
hundred rand (R200.00) per family.
3. Brief history of the family:
Mr. Mophethe Khitsane gave Mrs.
Mannini Lebona a platform so that she can give us the family praises.
Mrs Mannini introduced herself as
Mrs. Mannini Lebona from Qwaqwa Phuthaditjaba (FS), she was born a Khitsane and
got married to the " BAHLAPING BAHA LEBONA". She spoke of
how she gets hurt and sympathies the Sotho Africans when she sees how other
Africans like Xhosas and Zulus being proud of their roots and cultures
because the Sotho African they do not have time for their traditions and
cultures, She said We must know our background and be proud of where we come
from, She then made a PRAISE OF THE BATAUNG she said

4. Remembering the lost loved ones:
It was conducted by Mr. Molapo
Khitsane and Mr. Itumeleng Khitsane
Hymn was sung and candles were
lid in remembrance of the late (Letsie Michael Khitsane - Mokhethoaneng;
Mamophethe Khitsane - Mafeteng; Pikapa Khitsane - Tshiame 2 - Harrismith;
Matsheliso Khitsane - Thabong - Welkom and Maseromo Khitsane)
5. Report on unveilings:

6. Those who tied the knots and celebrations/anniversaries
It was conducted by Mr. Mohapi
Khitsane, who told us that
- Moeketsi Khitsane tied the knot at Sebokeng on the 02nd of
November 2013
- Mahasane Khitsane had 80th anniversary on the 05th of March 2014
- Mohapi Khitsane and Makgotso Khitsane had 20th anniversary on the
15th of February 2013

It was presented by Mr. Setlopo
Khitsane and Mr. Moletsane Khitsane from Johannesburg

It was presented by Mr.
Retshelisitsoe Khitsane and he said he has created the webside where all news

11. Designing of the T-shirt:
Mr. Itumeleng Khitsane brought
the sample of the T-shirt for the house, the house loved the T-shirt and gave
their names to Mr. Itumeleng Khitsane to place the order. Mr.
Vincent Khitsane suggested that the T-shirt price to be two hundred rand
(R200.00) because the price differences will cause confusion to the people.
12. Closure:
The house agreed that the next
meeting will be held at Katlehong,
Gauteng at Mr. Setlopo Khitsane's
residential
Mr. Mophethe Khitsane declared
the meeting over and asked Mr.Ramongalo Khitsane to close with a prayer
and food was served.
